Women in Prison and Poverty #SDG1

Reema Prasanna, @ScrollsNInk, who is a mediator, interested in fitness, writing and Google AdWords trainer conducted a Tweetchat on 25th November about the condition of women living in poverty who are in prison due to criminal accusations or conviction. She started off the conversation by asking the participants if they knew statistics related to the women who currently occupy the prisons. Various ideas such as the lack of support and rights granted to these women were brought up during the discussion. Ideas of workshops and organisations were also spoken about as solutions to address the situation and spread more awareness about the dire conditions of women in prison and poverty.
