How does safety impact access to education

On 16th June, Sharda Vishwanathan @visharda conducted a Tweetchat on the necessity of providing safe education to all.

The chat began by discussing the various factors that restrict young girls from accessing education and also those factors that create a hostile learning environment for girls in school. The audience was asked for ideas on how these issues could be addressed. Safety was also discussed from the aspect of the quality of infrastructure and whether that played a role in restricting girls from accessing education. The chat then went on to discuss ways through which the governments can help make education more accessible and safe for all and whether the participants knew of  of any community programs that have successfully implemented skill-building initiatives for children. It was an extremely lively, informative and invigorating Tweetchat focusing on ways in which each person can do their bit to make education safer for all.
