Gender Sensitization Workshop at Delhi University

Our Youth Outreach Officer from Delhi, Vanshika Siya Deswal, conducted a Gender Sensitization workshop at Department of Philosophy, Delhi University for its students and teachers on 12th of November. To break the silence, we asked the audience to share their personal experiences with stereotypes and gender bias, and it was amazing to see their participation.

The discussion further went on to talk about, gender, sex, sexual harassment and consent. Various women shared their personal stories of street harassment and others were glad to know about the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), laws related to sexual harassment and Safecity’s work.

The audience was super-engaged in the discussion and gave many more ideas to bring change. The department later felicitated Vanshika and Neha, a dedicated volunteer of Safecity.
