What is the need of the hour to address #SafetyforVulnerable? 

On 25th May, 2018 Prerana Anti-Trafficking Centre @PreranaATC conducted a tweetchat on ‘Better Implementation of the Existing Laws, or Introduction of New Laws’ – What is the need of the hour to address #SafetyforVulnerable?

The chat began by questioning whether the crisis of safety for those vulnerable is because of lack of adequate laws or no proper enforcement of the existing laws. It then went on to discuss whether creating laws is enough or is the issue in the need to regularly evaluate the performance of laws. With regards to children, the question was whether making stricter and harsher laws was the right approach to protect children. The chat ended by discussing whether the demand for new laws was a divergence tactic to evade responsibility of implementation of existing laws.
